Mountain Lake Childcare is proud to participate in programs that make high-quality childcare more accessible and affordable for families. We accept funding through the Virginia Childcare Subsidy Program, administered by the Department of Social Services, which assists qualifying families by covering a portion of childcare expenses based on income and work or education requirements.
Additionally, we are partnered with the Military Childcare Aware MYCCN program, which supports military families by connecting them with affordable childcare options that accommodate the unique demands of military life, such as deployments and relocations. These partnerships reflect our commitment to serving diverse family needs and ensuring that every child has access to a nurturing and supportive learning environment

Mixed Delivery
The Mixed Delivery Program is a Virginia-funded initiative that provides tuition assistance for eligible families seeking high-quality preschool services. Children enrolled through Mixed Delivery receive the same exceptional education and care offered at Mountain Lake Childcare & Preschool while families benefit from reduced or fully covered tuition based on program eligibility.
Early HeadStart
Early Head Start serves infants and toddlers from 6 weeks to 3 years old. This federally funded program provides comprehensive early childhood education, nutritious meals, developmental screenings, family support services, and health resources at no cost to eligible families.

HeadStart
Head Start is designed for children ages 3 to 5 and prepares them for kindergarten through hands-on learning, social-emotional development, literacy, math, science, and family engagement. Eligible families receive these services free of charge while their children learn in a nurturing, inclusive environment.
